GRESFORD COMMUNITY COUNCIL
CYNGOR CYMUNED GRESFORD
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT!
This is an opportunity to nominate members of the community that go above and beyond for our area.
Do you know someone that works hard in our community? A volunteer or enthusiastic individual that is always keen to help? Someone who goes out of their way to help others? Or someone who promotes the community by their achievements- excelling in a particular sport, hobby or area of expertise?
As a Community Council we want to celebrate these individuals that make our villages a special place to live and recognise them for their efforts.
If there’s someone you’d like recognised and thanked please get in touch via the email address below.
We will have a Community Spotlight once a month so there’s plenty of opportunities to nominate that special person.

Janet Holmes says:
" I would like to nominate Holly Burke . Holly gained her black belt in Tae Kwondo in April 2018 and was runner up for the best in grading award for the UK. She enjoys helping at Ady Jones’ TaeKwondo club as part of the STORM team, and regularly assists at the Tiger and Taekwondo classes. Over the past 18 months, Holly has generously volunteered over 200 hours of her time and has recently been awarded the club’s gold volunteer award. Holly has also attended a Sports Leader course with WCBC and is currently completing her final coursework assessment.
In addition to helping others during classes, Holly trains several hours a week and enjoys competing at a local and national level. She has been Welsh Patterns Champion on four occasions and has recently achieved her first medal in the Black Belt division
CONGRATULATIONS HOLLY BURKE! YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON IN GRESFORD AND MARFORD TO BE RECOGNISED UNDER OUR COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT SCHEME! WELL DONE!
